Motanana (Re-Issue)

Montana is the debut album by the eternally youthful dance pop outfit Retro Stefson from 101 Reykjavík. The album was originally released by the now defunct Icelandic indie label Kimi Records in 2008 and now it gets a well-deserved reissue treatment on Record Records. Montana was mainly recorded at the legendary Sigur Rós studio Sundlaugin by Benni Hemm Hemm’s head honcho Benedikt Hermann Hermannsson and one Árni Rúnar Hlöðversson of Iceland’s favorite dance outfits FM Belfast. The album features live favorites such as “Papa Paulo III” and “Senseni” and a regular vocal assistance of Hjaltalín’s Sigríður Thorlacius.
