Kimbabwe (Re-Issue)

Kimbabwe is the second full length album by one of Iceland’s top live acts Retro Stefson. It was originally released by the now defunct record label Kimi Records in 2010. By the time of its release the band had already been selling out shows and receiving a sizable amount of airplay in their homeland. Kimbabwe sees them fine-tune their key elements that include traces of latin, surf rock, afro pop, funk into one big sensation. The album features a few of their biggest hits, including “Karamba”, “Velvakandasveinn”, “Kimba” and “Mama Angola”. It was recorded and mixed by one Guðmundur Kristinn Jónsson, he’s the renowned producer and the driving force behind Ásgeir and Icelandic reggae sensations Hjálmar.
